Raw Gaia ~ Raw Chocolate Face Pack Review & Giveaway

Inspired by the wisdom of Gaia, Raw Gaia captures life-infused plant nectars at their ripest to create magical elixirs that nourish our bodies and souls. Perfectly potent in their raw state, the plants’ powerful essences and oils are extracted by the gentlest of methods. Raw Gaia products are pure, powerful and proven. If botany hasn’t named it, they don’t use it.

For years Lisa Lennon suffered from very dry skin. She had looked everywhere for a really good moisturiser, whose ingredients would get as close to nature as possible and that would be free of any chemical and toxic ingredients. Unable to find anything suitable, Lisa started experimenting in the kitchen and doing some research.

By that time, she had been following a diet high in raw foods for about five years. The principle behind a raw food diet is that uncooked vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and sprouted grains provide your body with the best nutrition. In their natural state, these foods contain much more life energy, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs, etc., than when they are cooked.

So it made sense for Lisa to try and develop a cream following the same principle. And since she would buy only organic food and are passionate vegans, she evidently wanted to make a product that reflected these choices too.

What makes Raw Gaia stand out is that they use only 100% organic, living and vegan ingredients such as cold-pressed butters and oils as well as high-grade essential oils. Moreover, their products are made following a process that avoids temperatures beyond 40°C. In this way, the life force of the ingredients and all their antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, etc., are retained. All these nutrients are then available to nourish your skin, without leaving any surface residues.

Simply put, the main benefit of a raw, living skin care product is that your body nourishes from the existing life force of the ingredients. In contrast, subjecting to high temperatures destroy most of this living energy.

Raw Gaia's products do not contain any nasty petrochemicals, artificial colourants and parfums, glycols, lauryl sulphates, parabens, preservatives, synthetic additives, bulking agents or hidden ingredients.

All Raw Gaia's products are certified vegan by The Vegan Society and cruelty-free with the British Union Against Vivisection (BUAV). Their products have not been tested on animals. In addition, their suppliers have been carefully screened to ensure they do not carry out tests on animals either. They follow a strict animal welfare policy, which are in line with BUAV's.

My Thoughts~!!

When I first opened up the jar of the Raw Chocolate Face Pack, my first initial thought was to keep this away from my kids, as it looked just like chocolate milk powder.  Of course, I had to smell it and it smelled like chocolate, deliciously so~!!

I found the mixing instructions to be simply and easy to understand.  After mixing the solution as per the steps found on the jar, I felt I had to add a little more of the powder, I felt that it was a little thin and wanted to be able to feel it upon my face.

The smell of chocolate surrounding you as it sets was very nice to enjoy.  However, I couldn't help but feel the need to eat a chocolate bar when I was done...heh heh~!

I liked the smooth texture of the raw chocolate mixture and it left my skin feeling really smooth.  My youngest daughter kept running her hand down my cheek and tell me if felt nice...LOL  The ingredients found in the product didn't scare me, there was, of course, chocolate powder and as everyone knows, chocolate is high in anti-toxidants.  Chocolate helps to repair cell and skin damage as well as clear out free radicals, it is also said that the RAW chocolate has 367% MORE anti-oxidants than a cooked version.

The Sun-dried Clay is good for cleansing and complexion, the organic tumeric brings a healthy glow to your skin and can also benefit such skin conditions as eczema, psoriasis and acne.  The organic alma fruit powder is high in vitamin C content as well as great for cleansing, complexion and hair.

The end result is that I was left with yummy smelling skin that looked and felt GREAT~!!  I would recommend this as part of your weekly beauty regime, it does the job it purports to do~!

The groovy great folks at Raw Gaia and Mad Moose Mama want to give you a chance to win ANY of their 100% Natural Skin Care products~!!  Isn't that a sweet deal??

Goodly luck to all and have fun~!!
