5 Great Anti-Aging Tips That Don't Come From A Bottle~!!

Growing old gracefully is an idea that seems to have disappeared within the last few years. With the rise of plastic surgery and increase in sun bed users; it is easy to see how this theory has become lost in a world of leathery skin and stretched out faces.

1) Drink Water
The first tip for anti-aging is: never underestimate the power of water! Drinking eight glasses of water a day is proven to flush waste out of our systems and rehydrate the skin. Sixty four ounces is the minimum required daily, yet most people barely reach four. Another fact that goes hand in hand with drinking water in helping you look better; is sleep. Between six to eight hours is the average amount of sleep that an adult needs to function well, and look fresher as a result.

2) Exercise
Exercise is a simple yet effective anti-ageing tip that can cost absolutely nothing! Firstly, it reduces your risk of obesity, which in turn reduces your risk of heart disease and some cancers amongst other ailments.  It also is brilliant in reducing stress levels and improving circulation, which will make your skin look instantly healthier and more glowing.

3) Stop Smoking
The second leading cause of premature wrinkles is cigarette smoking. Smoking over a long period of time also leads to yellowing skin and rotting teeth. However, the leading cause of wrinkles is over-exposure to UV rays, with sunbeds being a leading cause of cancer. Sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30 helps protect your skin from the rays that would make it appear old and leathery.

4) Eat a Balanced Diet
An important part of keeping your skin looking healthy by natural means is your diet. Oily fish are proven to help your skin as they act as an anti-inflammatory, and are also proven to lower the risk of heart disease. The high water content in vegetables will also help your skin glow.

5) Cut Down On Makeup
Something that may prove to be a serious problem to many women- but that would definitely help you stay looking young- would be to ditch the slap! Most foundations clog your skin, making you more prone to spots, as well as settling into wrinkles, making them appear more noticeable. Also using too many moisturizers to clean your face can actually do the complete opposite! Using a simple combination of warm water and soap can clean your skin more efficiently than all of those bottled cleansers.

Using all of these tips are bound to make you feel and appear younger. However, if all else fails, a sure-fire way to maintain healthy skin is to slip on a pair of dolce and gabbana glasses. Protect your eyes from the sun, and look great whilst doing it!

Honeymoon Do's and Don'ts~!!

Planning the wedding is time consuming and hectic. Planning the Honeymoon doesn’t have to be. While the wedding is really the Bride’s forte, the Honeymoon should be left up to the Groom. Depending on the age of the couple and whether or not it’s a first or second, or daresay a third marriage really will dictate a lot of what you plan but for grins we are going to deal with a second marriage here. However, it should be noted the basic rules are the same. And the gift at the end of this column will also be the same.

A Honeymoon does not have to be expensive but it will cost more than you planned. The Honeymoon should be done in two parts; 1) the wedding night, 2) the trip. The first is extremely important and few people get it right but the most important thing to remember, believe it or not, is how far you travel for the wedding night.
Resist the temptation to start the honeymoon by driving to the dock and getting on a ship for your cruise. Resist the temptation to jump on a plane that first night and fly to Hawaii. Resist the temptation to party late and drive two hours to the hotel. Above all stay locally for the first night. The reasons are many and so simple but the biggest one is you will have your entire lives together. You only get ONE Wedding Night. Even if you’ve been together for some time the wedding night itself remains special.

Driving two hours after a big party takes a lot out of you and puts a damper on the excitement. Jumping on a ship after waiting in line and getting luggage on board will kill any wedding night and a long plane ride is not ideal for that special evening you will spend with your new spouse.

Spend the first night in a local hotel and plan on staying just one, maybe two nights. The drive will be short and therefore not tiresome. Most local hotels above a Motel grade will have some sort of special suite for such occasions. Pick a really nice hotel no more than 30 minutes away you’ve never been to before except maybe for dinner. If it is close to the water, an ocean or a river or lake, even better. The sound of waves makes for a wonderful night.
A week beforehand visit Target or another nice chain store and head directly to the candle’s department. Pick out a nice selection of scented candles with smooth smells. It will cost you less than $20 and the romantic rewards will comeback to you ten fold.

Next visit the music department. Resist selecting something hot and hip but rather find some old romantic standards. A CD of Barry White is incredible. The movie “Ten” highlighted Ravel’s Bolero which is wonderfully erotic and anything today by Andréa Bocelli is as romantic as it gets. If your lady likes Sinatra, Jack Jones or others from before 1970, go for it. If more modern music is called for then reach into that group. The bottom line is the music should be smooth, warm, erotic to a degree and romantic. Nothing by Michael Bolton. I’ve yet to find a woman who says he’s romantic.
Champagne is okay but for a somewhat better mood setter try a smaller bottle of a sweet sparkling wine. Asti Spumante is a favorite. The Groom should get a small carrying case and pack the wine but ask for an ice bucket when you arrive. The key to a small bottle is it chills very quickly in an ice bucket, mere minutes. You should also pack the candles with holders (something nice not plain), two champagne flutes, matches, fresh fruit including berries (strawberries if possible), whipped cream (can is fine and can be fun later) and a selection of nuts, chocolates, two water bottles (if not provided in the room) and fruit juice. You won’t be drinking wine all night long and you will get dehydrated. And don’t forget the toothpaste and your toothbrush. Get a second one in case she forgot hers. She’ll love your for it.

While most of the rest should be left up to your imagination there are some things which you will want to think about ahead of time. The Groom should purchase some small piece of jewelry. Yes, you just gave her a diamond wedding ring. She expected that. Do you really want to make sure she remembers this night fondly? The best choice is a necklace. You can put it on her right away and you can be sure she’ll still be wearing it in the morning.
The important thing is to be creative, caring and aware of your partner’s desires and fears. Allow things to come naturally and keep it romantic. The fun has just begun.

Banishing the Bullies

Whether the bully in question is a school teacher, a boss, a friend or even a member of the family, if you are on the receiving end it really can make your life a misery.

The constant and relentless barrage of verbal or physical abuse, can wear a person down so much, they can’t even see a way out.

There is no need to live in fear of a bully, and there are many different kinds of initiatives being developed for every type of bullying out there. If you are, or someone you know is being harassed, I give you some examples of how to deal with it...

Praise them
Secondary schools in Scotland are taking a new look at what motivates bullies to behave the way they do.

They have bought in a system of secondary school rewards and praise methods, recognising good behaviour formally and publicly, so everyone knows about it.

Reward systems are not new as such, and you might be wondering what this has to do with bullying.

Well, research shows that bullies typically have very low self esteem and by teachers paying close attention to the good work and good things that the bullies do, they can be publicly rewarded for these acts and then their confidence in themselves will grow.

This results in a happy ex-bully and of course a great relief to the victims.

For it to be successful, all the teachers must be singing from the same hymn sheet, as it were. So, time spent setting up the system and explaining its function is essential. It will be regularly monitored to ensure consistency is maintained.

Essentially, the praise must be genuine in order for it to ring true with the teenagers, and in a school culture which might say that to be a “swot” or teacher’s pet is bad, and that to be cool and macho is the done thing, you need the praise to ignite some pride in them – not have it knocked back.

Face facts
Bullying in the workplace is unacceptable. No-one wants to have to face their oppressor every day, especially when it starts affecting their work standard and may result in loss of job.

Often, the put downs and intimidation is done in front of other work colleagues, therefore turning them against the victim.

It can take many forms, such as racial or sexual harassment, but can also be covert, such as being constantly harangued, blamed for other peoples mistakes, given so much work that it cannot possibly be completed, thus setting you up to fail, or physically and/or verbally abused.
Maybe these can happen on email or fax, as well as face to face.

Luckily, there are laws in place to cover discrimination and harassment in the workplace. If you feel that you, or someone you know, are suffering in this way, then first of all get advice.
This may be from a Union representative, a Human Resources member, or a manager or supervisor. (Of course, things can get difficult if it’s the manager or supervisor who is bullying you, but if necessary go above them within the company).

Your employer has a “duty of care” when your at work, and safety from bullying comes under that umbrella.

It is advised that the victim speaks to the bully, to make it clear how their behaviour makes them feel. Maybe the bully is really not aware of how bad their behaviour is. Ask them to not do it. If it continues, you will have a case. Keep all incidents written down in a dairy, with dates and details.

Then, if you wish to raise a formal complaint, you will be well armed. Ask for the company’s grievance procedure and follow it to a tee.

Have you ever been a victim of bullying? Perhaps you were the bully and wish to explain your motives. Please share here.

3 Of The World's Most Expensive Motorbikes

A luxury motorbike is a dream for many people, and the most expensive types in the world certainly stretch the definition of what a bike can do. Luxury bikes are typically defined by their extreme power, rare materials and limited numbers, as well as by their extreme engineering. In some cases, the most expensive motorbikes in the world are not technically safe for driving on public roads, and are closer to works of art than anything else. The most expensive, as of 2012, include the Macchia Nera Concept from Ducatti, the Ecosse Titanium Series RR Limited Edition, and the Dodge Tomahawk V10 Superbike.

3 - Macchia Nera Concept
$201,000
This Ducatti mod has a 998RS engine, and is designed to be the ultimate track bike. It uses alloys on major parts for lightweight design, and is engineered for F1 and MotoGP performance. Nicknamed the ‘Black Spot,’ this concept bike boasts 185 HP, and features a V2 four stroke engine, as well as a liquid cooling system and a 5 speed manual gearbox. The frame of the bike is made from carbon fibre and titanium, and it has an electric starter. The Ducatti build was designed by Aldo Drudi, and the bike made its debut in 2003 as a track prototype, before becoming a 2004 concept model. The bike is typically shown as part of the Macchia Nera Concept Tour, with people able to pay to test it out on tracks.

2 - Ecosse Titanium Series RR Limited Edition
$275,000
This luxury bike is distinguished by its titanium chassis and carbon fibre bodywork, as well as a unique see through engine covering, and a fuel injected 2,150cc billet motor. The Ecosse has 200hp, an adjustable saddle for ergonomic driving, and a bespoke timepiece attached to the controls. Other distinctive features include Berluti Italian leather in the saddle. Only 10 units have been produced by Ecosse Moto Works, a company that specialises in bespoke bikes using rare and exotic materials. Of these ten bikes, some of the first batch were sold to China, while others have been bought to display as works of modern art. Ecosse may yet supersede the bike, however, with their ES1 custom model.

1 - Dodge Tomahawk V10 Superbike
$555,000

Not technically legal to drive on the road as the result of its immense speed, this half a million dollar superbike has an 8.3 litre, V10 engine, and can theoretically hit the astonishing speed of 400mph. The Tomahawk can also reach 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, and has 500 horsepower.

Unusual in the sense of having four wheels, a few copies of the bike were sold through Neiman Marcus for Chrysler. The monocoque manufacturing design of the bike means that it depends on rear wheel acceleration, and also features twin throttle blades and 12 five watt LEDs. The front suspension includes a mounted ball joint, 20 inch stainless steer rotors, and dual hub steering with a rocker arm. Another bike that’s more of a work of art than a functioning road bike, the Tomahawk is one of the most sought after automobiles in the world.

Christian Rehab ~ A Faith Based Choice to Freedom~!!

Today many people are looking to rid themselves of their personal "demons" and often, Christian Rehab centers offer a solution that not only heals the body, but also works on healing the mind and the spirit also.

Many people who are seeking, find themselves frustrated with life and turn to other venues in order to compensate for their lack of faith.  A point in one's life is reached where the addictions are more of a burden than the burdens themselves and many turn to rehabilitation centers in order to find the correct path in which to travel.

Regardless of one's faith, it is important to note that recovery works best when individuals work on their body, mind and spirit collectively.  Choosing a Christian Rehab program that works for each person is the next step in the correct direction.

There are basically three types of faith based recovery programs:

1.  100% Christian based programs that have little medical therapies such as clinical counselling or credentialed staff, they are essentially, centers run by recovering Christians.

2.  A "work~based" drug and/or alcohol programs are generally free to the individual provided you are willing to work 8 ~ 12 hours per day to offset any costs you may incur as well, daily prayer and scripture are normally used.

3.  Combines all different types of treatments, including both Christian and standard approaches.  Generally its regarded as the more successful approaches but is hindered by cost as usually on insurance coverage applies when seeking this type of assistance.

People are are completely in tune with their spiritual growth begin to recognize the value of that growth as they connect with others, leaving their addictions behind.  Returning to one's life can be just as addicting and with Christian Rehab centers, these tenets and morals are highlighted through scripture and inspirational attitudes.

When your spirituality is awakened, it is believes your body's craving of substance abuse subsides, replacing negative with the positive, and bringing a joy for life through God's grace and forgiveness.  Many people have walked the darker path, my own sister included, and has come out shining on the other side.  Though it can be a long, hard road to travel, being focused on the positive will in turn, bring positive to each individual the more the effort is issued.  Never give up and never surrender to those addictions that make you less of a worth than you truly are~!!

If you require help for your addictions, the first step is always to admitting to having a problem, there are many programs in each community, intended to set you on the correct path to truth.  Continue walking the path brothers and sisters and you will find where you are needing to go.

BOOK REVIEW: Reasonable Facsimile by Chris Shella

Reasonable Facsimilie by Chris Shella

Paperback:  186 pages
Publisher:  Digisoda Publishing (December 1, 2011)
Language:  English

Synopsis:

Can Jasper Davis pull himself from his life of loose women, liquor and general debauchery in enough time to win a murder case and possibly save his own hide?

Jasper Davis is a criminal trial lawyer in Baltimore who has slowly but surely become like the drug dealers and lowlifes he represents.  He spends more time with hookers than clients and more time drinking Jack Daniels than studying the lawbooks.  Simply put...he is a shade of his former self.

Jasper finds himself in the middle of a first degree murder trial when he becomes the suspect in the murder of a DEA agent who has set to testify against his client.  Jasper is so far gone on women and liquor he sees his trial skills deteriorate right before his eyes.  Jasper is confronted by the situation is he gonna continue to be a reasonable facsimile of a human being or is he gonna become the man he once was?

My Thoughts:

While I was impressed with the title of the book and how the other explains it via the main character, Jasper Davis a.k.a. JD.  I thought it was a nice way to set the tone for the book's plot and how the character interacts with his surroundings and was looking forward to an enjoyable read.

However, I was wrong.

I couldn't find myself caring for JD, I thought he was a cliché and a stereotype and I found it truly hard to get past the lack of any depth to the character.  I found his introduction of women, by their breast size and skin colour and sometimes even their "booty" size was quite frustrating and removed me from the story.  I thought one or two examples of such would've sufficed but every single time a women is briefly in a paragraph??  And no, I did not find that it set the character up with this kind of drivel, I found it removed from the character of JD, instead of enhancing him.

I thought that the antagonist or the criminal, Billy Badass, that JD was representing wasn't overly believable in the explanation and found the whole trial to be without emotion and found myself seeing the trial as a prop to undergo the "transformation" of JD.

I found the vulgarity of the story to be repetitive and didn't carry well with the overall story as there was too much of it, drawing away from the literary aspect that the story had the potential to become.

I would give Reasonable Facsimile a two and an half stars out of five.

The Most Important Skill for Self-Defense: Mental Preparedness

Mentally preparing yourself for an attack of any kind is the most important, and sadly neglected, part of anyone’s training. People can learn the physical moves that are necessary to protect themselves in a relatively short period of time, but it can take years to learn how to be mentally prepared to pull the trigger or strike with deadly force. Few people appreciate the importance of this skill for self-defence.

Ready or Not Here He Comes
One thing you can bet on if you are ever attacked is that your assailant is mentally prepared. He has thought through what he is going to do and psyched himself up, so to speak. He is alert and ready to ruin your day, whereas you are asleep in your bed or just walking down the street thinking of everything other than self-defense. Your attacker is like a raging bull and you are like a little fluffy white kitten with sleep in your eyes.

Fighting is not second nature to us humans. We have to be taught to go from the mindset of the kitten that is helpless to that of a tiger that is perfectly capable of protecting himself. Bottom line is you have to be able to go from your normal nice guy persona to a raging tiger in a split second; that is how you will be able to keep yourself form being injured, or worse.

The Flick of the Switch
In any self-defense situation whether you are armed or not you have to be able to go from relaxed to ready like the flick of a light switch; it has to happen that fast. So how do you learn to do that? When you go to shoot your gun for example, do not be casual about it.

You set your gun down on the table at the firing station and take a few steps back. If your gun is holstered that works as well. Take a moment to collect yourself. Think about something that stirs deep emotions for you. Think about your children if you have them. Think about your wife or husband. What would it feel like if any one of these people were violently murdered? Bask in the anger that comes to the surface. When you feel that rage you step up to the firing line and grab that pistol and shoot. If it’s in your holster draw and fire the moment you are in the firing zone. Imagine the person who killed your loved ones is standing in front of you with a gun drawn. Focus on that anger as you fire with your own weapon.

Then when you step away from the firing line take a deep breath and relax while thinking about something that gives you peace. When you step up to the firing line again make that switch to anger about someone who has hurt you or your family. Do that over and over again. Step up, get angry, step back and relax. You can do the very same thing if you are practicing martial arts. Be relaxed and calm before you enter the training area. The moment your foot steps onto the mat you get angry. You are training your mind to make the switch from mild mannered kind person to a precision fighting machine that can protect yourself and your loved ones. With some practice it becomes like the flick of a light switch. You can turn it on and off at will. If you are ever attacked you just flip the switch.

The Element of Surprise
One of the most important principles of self-defense is the element of surprise. Ever hear of someone disarming an attacker with a gun drawn? It’s not because he was faster than a bullet; it was because he did what was unexpected. Let’s take that gun example.

If someone has a gun pointed at you, you need to get within arms- length if you can. If you have determined that your assailant is going to pull the trigger you attack. You knock the gun away and strike with a deadly blow. The key here is surprise. By attacking you are doing the least expected thing. If your assailant thought there was even a remote chance of you knocking his gun away he wouldn’t be close enough for you to do so. When you attack, his brain has to go through the following steps in order for him to pull the trigger.

Acknowledge you are actually attacking him.
Sift through a number of possible responses
Decide upon the response
Act on the decided course of action
Your attacker has to do all that before you ram your finger in his eyes or crush his throat. Bottom line is you don’t have to be faster than a bullet; you just have to be faster than your opponent. Action takes fewer steps and gets a head start. Now I’m not saying go and try to disarm an armed attacker. I just want to demonstrate how effective and important the element of surprise is.

Close Cousins
I bring up anger because fear is its close cousin and it’s easy to swap one for the other. Fear causes you to hesitate or even fail to react at all. Fear makes you slow and saps your strength. You have to be able to take that fear and turn it into anger which can be your friend. Anger gives you strength and focus. Anger gives you the courage you need to do what you have to do to stay alive. Like the light switch you have to be able to flick it on and off on command. You remember that next time you step on the mat to train or step up to the firing line and draw your weapon. When you are finished training, take a deep breath and relax; your job is done.

BOOK REVEIW: A Soul Less Broken by Helen Laibach

A Soul Less Broken

Author:  Helen Laibach
Paperback:  178 pages
Publisher:  Wheatmark (September 15, 2010)
Language:  English

After being brutally attacked, Catherine Wilcox must discover her own inner strength and courage as she struggles to piece her life back together.

She finds herself falling in love with the emergency room physician who treats her, but soon realizes the attack has left her so emotionally scarred that she must turn away the only man who truly loves her.  And at a time when she feels her life if finally beginning to heal, Catherine must face the devastation of learning that her dearest friend has terminal cancer.

In A Soul Less Broken we follow Catherine as she discovers the depth of true friendship, the healing power of love, and the stamina of the human spirit.

Catherine Wilcox is an up and coming new law student with dreams of making her mark when she is brutally attacked and raped one night after leaving the library.  After being left for dead, she wakes up in the Emergency room where Alan Petersen is her attending physician.  Alan believes that Catherine is his soul mate and is determined to do all he can to help her through this horrible ordeal.

I liked the characters though I am not sure if I would appreciate the good doctors attention after being viciously attacked.  I am thinking my radars would be screaming and I would demand a female doctor.  I liked Alan's character, don't get me wrong, he was sweet and attentive, I am just thinking with the plot's premise, he came on just a little too strong.

I would have appreciated seeing more of the love growing between the two main characters and leave out the aspect of the cancer, I found that there were too many emotional issues to deal with and it kind of detracted away from the story, instead of enhancing it.  There was enough power and depth in first antagonistic event that cancer could've been better left for another time and another book.  I would've liked to have seen more emphasis given to the attack and how she grows as a victim into a survivor.

I would give A Soul Less Broken a three out of five stars.  And yes, even though I complained about the cancer being added to the book, there are a few pages near the book's end that will leave your tearing up.  There is some emotional depth in the author's writing style, but I feel more focus would've been given the characters more breadth and allowed me to attach myself to them in a better capacity.

PRODUCT REVIEW: OXY Triple Action Medicated Acne Pads

The OXY Clear Skin Solution is a unique combination of medicated acne products formulated for your skin type.  This daily skin care routine is specific to how often and severe your breakouts can be, allowing you to effectively take control of your acne.

Before acne can appear, it needs a suitable environment to grow.  Oily skin and pores clogged with dirt and dead skin creates a perfect atmosphere for acne bacteria to develop.  OXY helps control oil and oxygenates your pores, keeping them open ~ allowing your skin to breathe.  This makes it difficult for acne to grow, preventing blemishes from developing.

OXY Cleansers are ideal for acne prevention.  When used twice a day, cleansers help remove dirt, sweat and excess oil to prevent clogged pores.  Remember to use warm water and cover your entire face.

Before a full sized pimple appears, acne bacteria starts to grow and multiply inside clogged pores making skin red and swollen.  OXY's medicated formulas attack the acne bacteria underneath the skin before it can erupt into a full pimple, blackhead, whitehead or cyst.  OXY penetrates deep to the very root of the acne and stops acne from growing, keeping your skin looking smooth, even and balanced.

OXY Pads work instantly to unclog pores letting oxygen in to help skin breathe and stop the growth of acne within the pore.  Its patented encapsulated technology allows the medication to stay on the skin and in the pores, working continuously throughout the day to prevent future growth.  After washing your face, apply over the problem areas ~ do NOT rinse.  Continue to used the Medicated Acne Pads daily over breakout areas to get clear skin.

My son swears by the OXY Triple Action Medicated Acne Pads~!!  He has an terrible acne problem on his face and chest and his biggest gripe is finding a product that worked successfully.  Sometimes his acne is very swollen and painful to touch and he likes how this pain is alleviated for him in a considerable manner.  He can actually see the redness abating with each use and his smile widens as his acne is now becoming something in which he can control.

Being a fifteen year old in today's vain~ish world, it is important to his well~being that his skin appears clean and clear.  I like that he is smiling more and feels more confident about himself because his acne is diminishing and he feels like he is winning the battle.

I would recommend these to anyone with a acne problem, looking to relieve the pain often caused by the swollen puscles.  The smell isn't overly strong nor does the scent stay on your skin after you wash your face with them, it is HIGHLY recommended that you leave the stuff on your face and not to remove it, so I feel it's important to not have a disgusting scent lingering underneath your nostrils after each use.

I will be reviewing a few more exciting products from the fine folks at OXY, so stay tuned and perhaps something will be the answer in which you seek.

BOOK REVIEW: A Most Unsuitable Match by Stephanie Grace Whitson

A Most Unsuitable Match

Author:  Stephanie Grace Whitson
Paperback:  336 pages
Publisher:  Bethany House Publishers (August 1, 2011)
Language:  English

An unlikely attraction occurs between two passengers on a steamboat journey up the Missouri River to Montana...

She is a self~centered young woman from a privileged family who fears the outdoors and avoids anything rustic.

He is a preacher living under a sense of duty and obligation to love the unlovable people in the world.

She isn't letting anything deter her from solving a family mystery that surfaced after her mother's death.

He is on a mission to reach the rejects of society in the remote wilderness regions of Montana.

Miss Fannie Rousseau and Reverend Samuel Beck are the opposites in every way...except in how they both keep wondering if their paths will ever cross again.

I found this to be a very enjoyable romance novel and I am not usually all that fussy about them.  I liked the characters within the pages and found Fannie to be a charming young lady.  The books description is totally wrong for the person found within the pages, I wouldn't say she was self~centered at all, sheltered yes and I never seen where she was afraid of the outdoors nor anything rustic, to me, it seems she was always trying to break the male stigma's of women.

I found her to be a courageous and caring women who was thrust into maturity before she felt she was ready.  After her mother dies, Fannie is left with the care and upkeep of her family home and family name.  Her accountant wants her to find an eligible bachelor before her money runs out and she has nothing to bargain with, his choice in men leave Fannie feeling nauseous.

Fannie wants to meet her heart's echo, just like her best friend Minette has done.  After a few failed attempts at romance, Fannie comes to realize that she many never find a man that makes her heart sing.

Samuel does not start out as a Preacher, nor is his mission to help those in need.  He has set on his journey to find his run~away sister who he has learned has hooked up with an Army Major.  Along the way, he meets Fannie and after a terrible accident on a river boat, he becomes her guardian angel and protector.  After encouragement from his friend, Lamar, it is then that Sam begins to preach the word of God and his future seems to be set before him.

Many trials and tribulations happen along their journey and you will enjoy the relaxing flow that author, Stephanie Grace Whitson, writes and intrigues her readers with.  It's a delightful tale of coming of age, finding yourself and falling in love.  I would give A Most Unsuitable Match a four out of five stars.

10 Awesome Games to Be Released in June 2012

With how big the gaming industry has become, it’s important to stay on top of your game release news. Of course, if you’re paying attention in 2012, that can still be an insurmountable challenge. There are so many successful and anticipated franchises out there now that it can be easy to get lost in all the game release madness. So let’s narrow our focus down to a single month: June 2012. Next month’s game releases might prove to be seminal and year-defining, even if you’re waiting for fall for some of the bigger names (like Assassin’s Creed III) to be released. Here’s ten reasons why.

1. Madagascar 3
The Video Game. Okay, maybe this isn’t exactly the genre-defying release you’re hoping for, but it might be exactly the release your son or daughter is looking for, especially if they’re already a fan of the film franchise.

2. Pikmin 2
The original Pikmin having been something of a popular cult hit, we say it’ about time th second entry in the franchise made its mark. It will have the opportunity to do so this June on the Nintendo Wii, and if you aren’t excited about the new Pikmin video game platform, then we don’t know what to tell you.

3. Lollipop Chainsaw
No, it’s not a franchise, so there’s no number after the title – yet. That’s because Lollipop Chainsaw is an original in the zombie genre, and the cheerleader main character might just have some staying power – that is, if fans are willing to give her a chance.

4. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
What else can you hope for from a Tom Clancy game than another edition of the Ghost Recon series? It’s everything that’s right about the genre, especially if you’re already a fan of the franchise.

5. Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes
If you’re like us, then you’ve been waiting for the inevitable Batman/Lego collaboration repeat for years. Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but it’s hard to ignore the combination.

6. Sid Meier’s Civilization VGods and Kings
We like to follow anything Civilization-related, even if it sometimes just means updates to the main titles. But there should be some interesting things to explore in this Civ V expansion.

7. Spec Ops: The Line
You can’t deny the innovation of the Spec Ops formula, actually being a third-person shooter that accomplishes a lot that a first-person shooter. It will be interesting to see this release.

8. The Amazing Spider-Man
A release for the Nintendo DS coinciding with the release of the movie, there are a lot of kids out here who can’t wait to get their hands on this.

9. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2
Admittedly, you have to really like shooters to like this game. But if you do, then you’re likely excited about this entry to the genre.

10. Combat Wings: The Great Battles of WWII
History buffs, get ready: it’s tough to ignore this title.
