Learn To Read Tarot Cards

Easily Learn To Read Tarot Cards
Learning to Read Tarot Cards is an Inner Journey

In order to learn about reading tarot cards requires some focus, however, it isn‘t an arduous task. Actually, it can be quite a pleasant activity. The more time dedicated to perfecting the skill of tarot reading, the more you will get out of it. To be an adequate reader, learners will have to become skilled at properly reading the cards. The best tarot readers are very intuitive individuals. They have an innate talent for picking up signs and feelings of others and are able to transfer that information into the symbols on the cards. This doesn’t mean that books about tarot card reading aren’t valuable, but to get any pleasure out of card reading, there must be a personal fascination from the beginning.

-Learning to Read the Tarot Cards

Developing an intimate relationship with the tarot is rewarding. However, you don’t have to be a psychic or clairvoyant. There’s more to tarot card reading than memorizing in sequence from a book. The inspiring card reader must acquaint themselves with the cards by studying and writing down their impressions of them every day, at least for a half hour. The environment where you study should be tranquil and quiet.

To start, take a deck of tarot cards, a pen and a notebook. Select a spot in your residence that induces relaxation. If certain aromas or music helps you with concentration, burning incense, a scented candle or meditative music will do. Let go the world, and go within. After naturally feeling the urge to pick up the tarot card deck, begin shuffling the cards. While doing this, let your mind be free of any anxieties or challenges. Concentrate on slowing down your breathing to put you more in touch with your feelings. Anything that comes to the forefront of your mind, write it down in your journal. It’s important to acknowledge our feelings. Feelings are the pathway to the Soul. This is similar to the same ritual that psychics or mediums use for their impressions. If we fail in this very important phase, the ability to perform a tarot reading is diminished. Repressed emotions have a way of causing us to lose objectivity.

Following a few moments of relaxation, draw a card anywhere from the deck. Lay it down in front of you, and examine it. Write down the name of the card into your journal, and answer the subsequent questions:

-What life lesson does the card portray?
-What do the drawings and imagery represent to you?
-What type of vibrations do you get from the card?
-What is the theme of the card? What is it saying?
-What type of feelings does the card bring out in you?
-How does is the story significant to your own life?

Answering these kinds of questions, will assist you in getting in touch with each card’s meaning. In addition, during these exercises its fine to reference a quality tarot card book. When all is said and done, tarot card reading is a personal journey where you must be the driver and the vehicle as well.

Day 12 ~ Holiday Gift Guide ~ Vamplets ~ Baby Vampyres

Jarl LaMort, part of the marketing team that developed the 2004 Spice Mice, came up with the idea for Vamplets Baby Vampyres, a line of plush Vampyre dolls, after being bitten by a notion...

What was it like to live life as a Baby Vampyre?

ARV $19.95 USD
LaMort, and Baby Vampyre plush designer, G-Ra (who redeveloped Hasbro's 1995 Little Pet Shop line), who had also been working on plans for a similar line, decided to combine both of their efforts to create this spectacular new line of plush toys for both girls and boys.

Vamplets and Vampets are residents of Gloomvania, an online community where people can interact and even create and customize tombstones.

Introducing the Vamplets:

Count Vlad Von Gloom

It is said that Count Vlad is descended from the direct line of Count Dracula.  Thus making him born from a royal line and somewhat arrogant in his nature.

Count Vlad has an insatiable appetite and is never fully fed, even after he has just nourished.  It is advisable to keep a warm bottle of blood nearby for his development.

ARV $5.95 USD
Vlad is VERY fussy about his appearance and even the slightest drop of blood upon his diapers will put him into a devilishly diva~trastic tantrum.   Now, if a tantrum does occur, make sure you place him quickly on his favourite toy, his bed of nails.

Not only are you able to purchase your Vamplets, but they also carry the perfect accessories, like the Disappearing Bottle of Blood for your new Baby Vampyre to enjoy.  As well as, women's and children's tee shirts and onesies which portray the adorable ghoulish Baby Vampyre's and catchy sayings.

My Thoughts~!!

I think the Vamplets ~ Baby Vampyre Plush Dolls are just the cutest creepy I have ever encountered.  They are really really cute and I believe that the pictures do not do them any justice.

I recently reviewed Count Vlad Von Gloom and he comes in a coffin package.  I also received the disappearing bottle of blood and its pretty neat how it disappears and gives the effect of actually being drunk by the Baby Vampyres.  An excellent upgrade to a product of the past, very ingenious~!!

My son really took to this doll and my husband didn't have any problems with his using one, Count Vlad appeals to boys and I feel it will help enable him to be a better father one day as it is teaching him how to nuture and bond, something that is often lacking in boys "shoot 'em and shove 'em" type toys being marketed.  I liked the fact that it allowed the masculine men in my family to be able to participate with the doll as they have done and I am fairly certain it will become a new bedtime companion for my son.  My seven year old loves zombies and this appeals to his slightly macabre side of his nature without going overboard.

He isn't that heavy and feels great to touch.  The green tint around is eyes gives him a certain undead appeal to his milky white skin which is charming.  And his little leather like diaper has skull upon it for added effect.  Everything is embroidered and stitched with finesse and there were no little seams or threads poking out of the workmanship.

I found the customer service to be ghoulishly groovy and they were a friendly group to work with, even though I had to bring garlic to most of our meetings, one can never be to safe.  It was shipped in a timely and efficient manner and I cannot really find anything negative to say, which is good, in my honest opinion.

And did I mention the price of these gorgeous little Vampyres was ONLY $19.95 plus S/H~!!  Being a frugal mom, that is one sweet selling price~!!

Tarot Readings, Medium Readings, Clairvoyants, or Psychics . . . Which to Choose?

Many people choose to seek out those that claim to be able to foretell the future as a manner in which to understand, anticipate and improve their lives. Tarot Card Readers, Medium Readers, Clairvoyants and Psychics are amongst the many titles for these fortune tellers who differ based on in their particular skills and areas of specialty and/or expertise.

Tarot Readings
Tarot card readers use a deck of 78 Tarot cards to answer questions and offer guidance and advice to those seeking information about their lives. Each Tarot card represents a specific concept or idea, which the Tarot card reader then applies to the individual’s past, present, or future. The Tarot card reader uses her expertise and knowledge of how these cards are interpreted, to determine what message is being conveyed about the person’s life. The cards have general meaning, but the Tarot card reader’s job is to interpret that meaning and apply it to the individual person’s life and circumstances. The same card can mean something different for one person than it does for another.

To begin the Tarot readings, the cards are laid out in a very specific pattern known as “a spread”. The reader will offer to perform one of two different types of readings, a general reading in which the cards guide the session, or reader guided session, which takes the form of question and answer. Here, the reader uses the cards to interpret the answers. These more specific types of Tarot readings, are ideal for someone seeking guidance, advice and understanding about one or more very specific situation/s.

Medium Readings
Medium readings are similar to Tarot readings in that they do both predict future events in a person’s past, present and future. However, the readers themselves are not equally skilled. A medium reader can communicate with those that have passed on. They can summon the dead and facilitate dialogue between their subjects and their loved ones that have passed. Medium readings are best known for this intended pursuit and medium readers are the obvious choice for those who wish to contact someone that is no longer amongst the living.

Clairvoyants
Clairvoyant, a word meaning “spirt-seeing”, is a term commonly equated with a person possessing psychic abilities and is particularly sensitive and receptive to the world around them. They are sometimes referred to as having a “sixth sense”, since they know and feel things that others cannot, using the typical five senses. Clairvoyants are extremely spiritual and are said to be able to tap into other dimensions. Many clairvoyants were born with their skill and make a conscious decision whether to nurture or suppress it throughout their lives. Clairvoyants differ from Tarot card readers in that they do not require Tarot cards to access their psychic abilities. They often, however, may choose to use other means to facilitate their skills, such as pendulums or crystal balls, dream interpretation and/or palmistry as a means to read into a person’s past, present or future. Clairvoyants are similar to Tarot card readers in that they are both effective means for those searching for specific information. The Clairvoyants have the ability to get information for someone that he otherwise would not be able to get, which is why they would come in handy if something was lost or stolen.

Clairvoyants can also be invaluable in criminal investigations, where they can uncover clues and possibly determine the whereabouts of necessary evidence that the average person would not be able to find. Clairvoyants are extremely accurate in their predictions and will always give a clear answer without the assistance of any outside forces or information. They will not ask for any personal items or information in order to get to know the person first. They can automatically tap into their ability to sense who the person is, what he is about, and what his future holds. Like Tarot card readers, they can perform either very specific sessions or more general ones. Either way, they are extremely intuitive and possess receptive skills that are unparalleled.

Psychics
Psychics, often referred to as “fortune tellers”, also possess what is referred to as a “sixth sense”. Like mediums, they are able to perceive things that cannot be detected using the usual five senses. Though psychics can also sense the spiritual world, they are unable to make a connection or communicate with it like mediums can. Psychics are like Tarot readers in that they also use additional tools in their readings to help them gain knowledge and be able to make predictions about a person’s past, present and future. The psychic’s information comes to them through visions in the form of pictures and dreams. They can see the future from a distance and can then interpret what they are seeing. Psychics do not interact with these visions, they simply observe, interpret and report the happenings.

Since there are several different titles used to describe those who can predict the past, present and future, many wonder who the most qualified reader is. With a little research, they would find that the choice would depend on what the individual wants to gain from the reading and which could deliver that best for them.

Devil's Hand by M.E. Patterson

Devil's Hand is a Supernatural Occult Thriller.

Trent Hawkins is the "luckiest man alive", especially after he falls out of an airplane and is the only survivor of a horrific plane crash.  He has been blacklisted from Las Vegas as his uncanny knack at cards has casino owners looking at him with suspicion and bad luck seems to follow those who are around him.

When Trent's wife, Susan, is given a job at the Children's Hospital in Las Vegas, they move back with great trepidation.  Trent doesn't know if a year away is long enough for old bygones to be let go but for the love of his wife, Trent is willing to do anything for her.  Upon arriving back in Vegas, the two are hit with a hail storm that soon turns into falling fish.  Bewildered and confused, they chalk it up to high pressure weather fronts and before they are even unpacked, all hell breaks loose and Trent is the only person who can make things right.

Children in Las Vegas are being kidnapped and returned to their parents in a vegetative state.  No one at the hospital can explain what is occurring and on the night that Trent and his wife arrive in Vegas, Celia, a thirteen year old who is allergic to water, has been rushed to the hospital in anaphylactic shock.  Celia doesn't know it yet, but she is being hunted by an Angel named Zamagiel.

Zamagiel wants to return to Heaven and he believes by ridding the Earth of all sin, he will get himself a one-way ticket back to his home.  He has resided in Hell for far too long and wants to live by the Grace of God once again.  He uses Salvatore Cortina as his host body, Salvatore is a street bum who lives in the sewers beneath Las Vegas.  He isn't a willing host and is often fighting Zamagiel for control.

Trent has gained powers that he has now been forced to understand in order to save humanity from the grips of evil, to stop the War that is brewing amongst the Angels, the Cherubim and the Grigori's, everyone has their own agenda.  Some like the order of things as they are and want War diverted in that they may continue enjoying their Earthly pleasures, some want the Prophecy to be fulfilled in order to amend God's severing of the Angels from their Host and others just want more anarchy and chaos and only one group's champion will secure the future.

This is a fantastic debut novel by author, M.E. Patterson.  It has intrigue, mystery, angels, demons, magic and more included for this engaging ride into the fantastical world of Angels and Demons.  Using Las Vegas as a backdrop for the creatures was quickly impressive, if anyone has ever read Hunter S. Thompson's rendition of Las Vegas, you will see the similarities between the reptilian races and the thoughts of the late author had.  If I was going to make one place in the world as the core of Hell, then Las Vegas would be the optimal place to locate such.

I loved the history being shared about the Angels and their positions held on Earth and in the eyes of God.  I enjoyed the expression of faith and free will that the author shared, it was on par with how I view the angelic realms.  I thought the characters were wonderfully written and the back stories shared brought enough light to the situations that the characters found themselves in.

The written style of M.E. Patterson reminded me of early style Stephen King or Robert R. MacGammon, written with clarity and insight and urged the reader to continue with the story.  I found it hard to put down and needed to finish the story and was equally pleased to see the ending did not fail the story.  I am hoping that there will be more adventures involving Trent, the author left so many doors open in the ending that it would be hard to miscontrue his intent.  At least I am hoping his story isn't finished, I would love to read more, the possibilities are endless with such a scenario.

I would give this book five out of five stars and for me, this is a rarity, I don't hand them out to often, but this book definitely has the charisma and depth to encourage others to share the story within its pages.  Devil's Hand isn't a book one should ignore, not if you like Angels,  the paranormal and an excellent written style to bring it all together.
