Top 5 Worlds Rarest Diseases

Most of us might have come across a disease in our life. In the medical world, a disease is a condition that affects the functioning of the body and began to show some signs and symptoms. There are certain rare diseases in the world that occurs for one in thousands. A doctor rarely get a chance to see a person with such diseases. Some of the world’s top five rare diseases are given below :
  • Morgellons
This is a rare disease which is not approved by the whole medical community,however around 2,000 people in U.S is said to have affected by this disease. This disease has symptoms like biting, itching, or crawling sensations, filaments will grow from the skin and lead to skin lesions. It will even lead to memory loss, joint paint, and fatigue.
  • Paraneoplastic Pemphigus  Pemphigus
Paraneoplastic pemphigus is a rare skin disease that leads to the formation of vesicles on the skin. Keratinocytes of the epidermis will be seperated and it will create gaps. Most often  these gaps will be filled with fluid peel off, it will lead to infections in your skin. These blisters are usually found in the mouth, throat, lips, and skin. This is a fatal disease.

  • Microcephaly
This is a rare disease usually found at the time of the birth or even before.

In such a situation your brain won’t be able to develop properly, or in some cases stops to grow at all when the baby is still in the womb. So the head of the baby will be very small when compared to normal infant head size. Most of the people believe that this disease is mainly caused due to exposure to harmful substances while in the womb, exposure to radiation and other genetic problems. Those who have this disease are usually mentally retarded and will have symptoms like hyperactivity, dwarfism, seizures, issues related to balance and speech etc.
  • Von Hippel-Lindau Disease
This is an extremely rare genetic condition that is characterized by the growth of tumors in different parts of the body. These tumors usually grow within the central nervous system and are made of blood vessels. These tumors can occur in the retina, the brain, spinal cord, pancreas, adrenal glands and kidneys. If you don’t treat this disease then it can lead to  strokes, heart attacks and cardiovascular disease.
  • Progeria
This  is a rare condition which affects one in about 8 million children born. A child born with Progeria will live only up to 13 years, in some rare cases they can live up to twenties. This is a genetic condition caused due to mutation. In children affetced with progeria, the aging process will start early from the childhood. There is no known cure for this disease.

Nowadays there are many new diseases coming up with due to the use of cheap water bottles. These plastic bottles contain many toxic chemicals which can lead to many diseases like breast and uterine cancer. It can also cause decreased testosterone levels. Pregnant women should not use cheap water bottles as it can cause an increased risk of miscarriage. Some diseases are curable, suppose if your newborn baby is affected with any of these diseases then you should make sure that you are giving a proper medical attention and hygienic measures are taken. If a maid is taking care of your baby then you should make sure that they are wearing housekeeping uniforms. This is to ensure proper hygiene.
