Day 2 ~ Holiday Gift Guide ~ My True Nature

At My True Nature™, they believe that childhood is sacred. They spend every second thinking about how to make everyday activities for kids safe and fun. Their first task was to figure out how to make kids laugh in the bath.

My True Nature™ is a San Francisco-based company founded in 2008 whose mission is to make bath time both safe and fun for kids.  They offer top-quality natural bath and body products that are 100% natural and rich in organic ingredients that actually perform similar mainstream products.  They use 100% FDA-approved recycled PET plastic bottles for packaging that are recyclable and reusable as well.  (Refills can be purchased from My True Nature™ )  

The idea for My True Nature™ came after founder Kelly Boyd's first child was born. Like many mothers, she wanted to create a safe home environment. But when she couldn’t find a line of soaps and shampoos that had 100% natural ingredients, performed as well as typical mainstream products, and were completely free of genetically modified organisms, parabens, petrochemicals, phthalates, sulfates, synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances, triclosan or preservatives, she decided to start producing them herself. Before she knew it, she had a line of products that her friends and family loved. She started selling them by word of mouth, and the business has grown from there.

When she started using the products at home, she put cartoon labels on the bottles to make the kids laugh. Who doesn't love to make their kids laugh? It is intoxicating. Her kids loved them, and that’s when the idea for TubbyTown™, a make-believe bath-time wonderland, was born. TubbyTown™’s residents currently include Dewey the dragon, Daisy the skunk, Clio the teddy bear and Ollie the octopus. Each has its own distinctive personality, and its own dedicated bath-time product. Your little ones will look forward to playing with them each time they step into the tub just like her children do.

My Thoughts~!!

I received a 1 oz. sample of My True Nature's "Daisy's 2-in-1 Shampoo and Body Wash" and "Bobo's Baby Bubble Bath" to review with my children.  I was hoping the 1 oz. would be enough to do both of their heads, but they have such thick hair that I only had enough to do one application.  My daughter gladly volunteered her head to be washed, after my son smelled it and thought it smelled like oranges, he didn't want to use it.  Nothing personal, he just doesn't like citrus scents.

My daughter, however, loved the fragrance and when she got to school, she had all her friends smell her hair.  They thought she smelled like oranges!!

My son decided because his sister got to use the shampoo/body wash, he should get to use the bubble bath, he LOVES his bubble baths!!  He was super excited to see the bubbles that exploded after hitting the water and spent quite a while playing with them.  The bubbles smelled wonderful, like a soft baby powder scent and he smelled DELICIOUS when he got out!!  He was totally huggable...hehe

I found the products worked GREAT and think they would be great stocking stuffers or gift basket accessories!!
