There are tons of things to do on land, but what about that mystery world under the sea? You don’t have to be on your latest vacation to check out what’s beneath, and there can be more options out there than you previously thought. Below, we have gathered a list of five things you can do underwater.
- Scuba/Snorkeling – It seems pretty obvious, but we had to get it out of the way. You don’t need any experience to go snorkeling, and there are tons of places across the world where you won’t believe the sites beneath your goggled eyes.
- Swim with the Sharks – Is the above too cutesy for you? Then you won’t be disappointed in this underwater activity. There are many places where visitors can swim with sharks that are harmless to humans or be submerged in cages while Great Whites swim all around you.
- Spearfishing – Not all fishing is done above water. If you have a talent for snorkeling, some patience, and the right equipment, you can take part in this underwater activity. There is loads of incredible fishing to be done underwater that isn’t done on land, such as eel and even lobster fishing.
- Underwater Rugby – Yes, this is a thing. A cross between regular rugby and water polo, players wear mask, fins, snorkels, and more. The goal is to get a 10 inch ball into the goal of the opposing team and is played in two 15 minute halves.
