Sometimes, it can be hard to be happy. There are so many things that are going on, and it's hard to keep a positive attitude. I know, that when I was in college, I had a hard time being happy. I was so stressed out with everything that I did, and I didn't have time to stop and enjoy myself. If you aren't feeling happy, or need a boost, here are 10 ways to be happy.
1) Smile
Smiling actually can help you be happy. When people see that you are happy, they will treat you as a happy person.
2) Be positive
Look on the bright side of things. Instead of focusing on everything that is bad, focus on everything that is going well in your life.
3) Stay busy
Start a new hobby, make new friends. Don't wallow in your misery, keep yourself busy from depressing thoughts.
4) Be grateful
Make list of everything that you are grateful for. You'll find that you might be overlooking a lot things. Sit down and be thankful for what you have.
5) Surround yourself with friends
Friends are often the best medicine. Make sure that the friends that you choose to surround yourself with are positive and won't bring you down.
6) Sleep
Sometimes, all you need is a good night's rest. Being well-rested can help you and the way that you think about things.
7) Declutter
Clean your room, clean your kitchen. Cleaning helps people feel happy. They feel accomplished.
8) Listen to music
Listen to happy music. Put on stuff that will put you in a good mood. Avoid dark and sad music.
9) Volunteer
When you are helping others, you focus less on your problems and focus on other people's problems. This helps you put your problems in perspective.
10) Be happy with who you are
If you aren't happy with yourself, you can't be happy. Change your frame of mind. No matter what people tell you, you are great. You have an excellent life, change the way you think. Once you set your mind and you are happy with who you are―no one can take that from you.
Happiness comes down to you. If you don't want to be happy, you can't be happy. Make the choice now―that you will be happy. Sure life may get tough sometimes, but there is nothing that you can't do. If you are happy, you will enjoy you life a lot more. Go on, smile, be happy.
