Hanging Out At Liberty Square, Disney World

Disney World isn’t known as a relaxing place. It’s more about fun and adventure. However, Walt Disney was a wise man. He wanted to make sure there was something for everyone. Even if you’re the fun and adventurous type, it’s nice to take a breather. The perfect breather in Disney World can be found at Liberty Square. Let’s take a look at everything you should expect to find at Liberty Square.

Liberty Square Riverboat
This is a tricky attraction because some will find it soothing and scenic while others will find it slow and boring. It depends on your personality. If you think you would enjoy sitting on a 3-deck paddlewheel riverboat while looking for props along the Rivers of America, then this is an attraction to consider. The boat also goes around Tom Sawyer Island. An interesting note is that the boat is on a track underneath the water. Most people think it’s floating. The Liberty Square Riverboat ride opened in 1971 and takes just under 13 minutes.

Hall Of Presidents
This is more for adults than children and that fact shouldn’t be sugarcoated. Children of all ages will likely be bored unless they’re a big fan of American history. Adults, on the other hand, will likely appreciate the attention to detail and learning about all the challenges each president had to face. This attraction opened in 1971 and takes just under 23 minutes.

The Haunted Mansion
This is one of the best attractions in the entire park. Many people feel it’s the #1 attraction. The Haunted Mansion has a gothic theme. It will be scary for young children, but not for anyone else. Don’t let that fool you, though. People of all ages tend to enjoy The Haunted Mansion. It’s a lot of fun whether you find it scary or not. From the instant a butler or maid greets you at the door to the Doom Buggies, you’re going to enjoy yourself and want to go through a second time. The best scenes are the staircase and the ballroom. Also pay attention to the picture that hangs above the fireplace in the library. If you look carefully, you will see that it changes. Also remember to see the ghost horse in the front of the mansion. The Haunted Mansion has recently been refurbished, which made a great ride even better. The Haunted Mansion opened in 1971 and lasts 7 minutes and 30 seconds.

If you’re hungry while in Liberty Square, consider eating at Liberty Tree Tavern. This is a well-kept secret that many people make the mistake of not bothering with. It’s a relaxing atmosphere where you can find a lot of options on the menu. The most popular appetizer is the crab & spinach dip. For the main course, you can choose between hamburgers, lamb, pasta, pot roast, vegetarian pot pie and salads. If you want a faster dining experience, eat at Columbia Harbor House, where you can find fish and chicken. For baked goods and fruit, go to Sleepy Hollow.
