My Thoughts~!!

I thought this sequel was an excellent addition and that the writers, directors and actors did a remarkable job at portraying the X-Men franchise.  I loved Kevin Bacon in his role of Sebastian Shaw, he brought a level of evil to the movie that was required to show you how Magneto became who he did.

I liked watching the relationship between Erik and Xavier and how they bonded, though I am still unsure how Mystique came to be an enemy of Xavier, perhaps that story is for another time.  I would've loved to have seen her thoughts brought more into the story for truly, this story should have been about the three of them and felt that Mystique's back story had an opportunity to grow here but the writers left most of her edge out.

As always, I enjoy watching the special effects and seeing which of the X-Men characters the writers decided to use...while I liked some of their choices, there were a few that left me wondering if there wasn't a better choice for inclusion.

I think this would make a great addition to anyone's home library and the extras on the DVD were just as interesting to watch as we are taken back stage and behind the scenes of the cast and crew of the X-Men.  There the viewer learns about the trials and tribulations about making this sequel and their decisions for some of the ideas they had.  Also included is the movie's official trailer.
